Love is patience 
You say that you love me but lately 
I’m having a hard time believing that. 
Love is patience so why can’t you be.
Can’t you understand I’m not ready. 
Yes I understand you want show your love to me. 
Buy me flowers are a card. 
Make me a candle or some cookies. 
There are simple little things you can do
 to show me your love. 
But making love is not something I’m ready for.
 Yes I do love you but I prefer to wait.
 And if you love me you would respect that. 
I’m waiting until my wedding night.
 I don’t care how far away it is
 or if it ever comes I’ve waited 18 years
 a few more won’t kill me.
 No that not a silly idea it my decision, 
and you and no one else will change my mind.
